DIY Hang Tags and Painted Clay Pots for Herbs

My friends and I have a decorating challenge every month. May's challenge was decorating with "clay pots". I painted mine and gave them a dry brushed, weathered look. Then I created hang tags (with my phone's camera and an app) and tied them to the front of the pots.
I did three, Rosemary, Peppermint and Cilantro. This was a super easy project!!!
Items I started with...
I first painted them white (one light coat) and then went back over with a very dry brush of blue/green.
I took photos of a sprig of each plant on a white background (with my cell phone), then edited them in a photo app, transferred them to my computer. I added the lettering and cropped them into circles in another app online. Printed them out, cut them out.....
...and applied them to round wood medallions I found at Michael's. Drilled holes for rope and tied them to the pots. Very easy!! See the full tutorial at the link below.
