I was given a very lovely gift of a vintage wooden planter from my mother. It was given to her from her parents for a birthday gift when I was very young. So I was thrilled when mom gave this to me. I remember her knitting sitting inside it.
My first thought was to refinish it in the Romantic Farmhouse style that I love.
I decided to paint it with white chalk paint and add some ivory paint to give it some contrast. With a little distressing and some brown wax it turned out perfect.
I have arranged several bouquets in it but I think I like it the best with just plain white flowers.
Chalk paint really gives wooden pieces such a nice matte look. Since this pictures I have but a aqua strip around the center. Sorry I don't have a picture of this for you.
It fits perfect with my decor. For more details come and follow my website.
