I found some amazing shelves from Ballard Designs ($499 each) with a not-so-amazing price tag. So, I set to work trying to figure how to make them for myself!
It all started with 2 metal Ikea shelving units ($14.99 each) and a stack of pallet wood and a few left-over 2×4’s!
We spray-painted them top to bottom in a flat, black paint. Then I cut and stained the wooden "shelves" and finished them with beeswax. Next, I used pallet wood and other reclaimed wood to build a sturdy base that also added height.
And now the wall is complete, well almost!
