Turquoise and Coral Outdoor Living Space

We took our backyard from terribly drab to seriously fab with a new patio and tropical inspired accessories!
After living in our home for a few years, we decided it was time to give our backyard some TLC!
We hired a local landscape design company to tear down our old deck and install a patio in its place. After the hardscape was installed, I set to work decorating an outdoor space using colors reminiscent of my favorite vacations. I hope you enjoy this tour!
Using large outdoor area rugs, I divided the patio into two areas: one for lounging and one for dining/cocktails.
Our guests can take a seat at the table for dinner or belly up to the bar to keep the chef company as he grills!
The selection of outdoor fabrics is SO fabulous these days. I had a lot of fun selecting poppy prints to give the space flair.
We still have some landscaping work to do. I have a lot to learn about keeping plants alive, but I'm excited for next year when we'll actually do some planting.
Until then, we will just be eating and drinking out here! I hope you enjoyed! If you have questions about my sources for anything, please ask. I respond to all comments. And if you're not afraid of color, please check out my blog, www.embracemyspace.com, for more details on my colorful, coastal-inspired home! Much love, Hometalkers!

Charmina on Aug 20, 2015You did a lovely job and I truly love all the colors you used. Don't worry so much about the plants, that's easy enough to do and learn. Great hints on Pinterest on keeping plants alive😎😎😎.

Lori on Aug 20, 2015It looks like a bright, happy, useable back yard. So much nicer than the old and if the sun ever bothers you, lots of room for a pergola which will take the pretty, on up.
