Room Refresh - Teen Girls Room #30dayflip

For the August hosted by Jeanette from Snazzy Little Things and Meredith from Arts and Classy, the challenge was to do a Room Refresh to any space. Since I’ve been working away at adding all the finishing touches to my oldest daughter’s room, I thought this would help motivate me to finish it.
It’s “nearly” done with a few tweaks needed here and there, but the overall feel is fun and lively, but mature as well.
The dreaded Before pic.
Another one.... Yikes.
The desk area.
The chalkboard above the desk area is perfect for homework reminders.
The striped ottoman was made using an oval coffee table, some foam and batting and a staple gun.
The Hemnes dresser from Ikea is perfect for storing all my daughter's clothes.
The Paris inspired headboard was made using a soft jersey fabric. Step by step instructions on how to make this headboard have been previously posted on Hometalk on one of my prior posts.
She's happy with how it's coming along so far, and I'm thrilled that my to-do list is continuing to shrink on this project. Yay!!!
Enjoyed the project?
