If you have a house full of company at Thanksgiving, this fun scavenger hunt is the perfect way to help let the kiddos burn off some of that extra energy. Using fall items from your own backyard you can create an exciting way to make some lasting holiday memories.
Using a brown lunch bag, I printed a list of items the kids could look for and collect from our backyard. A few of the items I purchased beforehand and then hid those items in the backyard before company arrived.
I printed the bags in our home office.
The kids had a marvelous time searching for all of the fall themed items. My choices were: Apples, Indian Corn, Rocks, Acorns, Leaves, Mini Pumpkins and Gourds, Sticks, Pine Cones, A Plastic Turkey Pick (purchased from the baking aisle of the grocery). Of course you could make your scavenger hunt applicable to the items in your backyard.
To complete the scavenger hunt the kids had to have their picture taken and then have their bags autographed by their grandpa... It kept the kids busy and having fun.
