BBQ Stand

"WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU CAN GET" from an old BBQ! When we disassembled our old BBQ to discard, there remained a stand? Hmmm....what a great workbench on rollers.
Was going to run to Home Depot to get plywood for top and bottom shelf, but realized we had left over vinyl fencing that we could use. Snapped two vinyl slats together and cut ends to measure top of stand using table saw. Bottom shelf, a little more tricky, as had to use husband's skill saw to cut one of the slats narrower to tightly fit between leg stands....scarry!
Top and shelf
To keep slats securely together on top of stand, I screwed two small narrow plates at each end, with holes, connecting each slate underneath (drilled pilot holes into vinyl to use screws). To keep top from sliding off stand, I just used duct tape underneath to secure to braces that were originally on top of stand.

Great idea. I have an old grill, going to do the same thing. Been looking at work bènches but this would be portable if I needed to move it. Thanks I get so many ideas from Hometalkers like you.
