Au Naturel
I absolutely love the natural look in furniture. This beauty took all day to do, but it was definitely worth it!
The original hardware is so perfect and a great contrast.
There were a few superficial scratches on top, other than that, the piece was in tact!
i tried to use a stripper at first, but it was so messy, so I decided to just sand it. I used a palm sander.
There’s still some areas that are inconsistent, but that just gives it character.
I took some white wax by Jolie, found on Amazon and rubbed it all over.
I’m just in love with this combination of colors!
I took some dark gray paint and stenciled on each side of every drawer with my medallion stencil, then ran the sander over them to give a faded look. I finished them with white wax.
Place your stencil onto the drawer and tape to hold. If using a brush, dab the paint off onto a paper towel to remove excess paint, then use a stippling technique to apply paint.
After the paint dries, lightly sand using a palm sander, then dust off.
Once sanded, take some wax and seal. I used Jolie wax from Amazon.
The mirror is painted in a mix of greens, which I will share later. It’s such a lovely combination.
Follow me for a tutorial on the mirror on my next post!

I love the look and even better that it seems to be a very simple project.

A reflection in the mirror shows a very interesting texture on what looks like a ceiling. How was that effect achieved?
I love the look, you have inspired me to do over my dresser. Thanks.
