Bedside Lockers
If you have followed me for a while you may remember the navy chest of drawers I did a while ago - for my mam & she now wants the lockers painted (next she will want her bed painted to be continued) so here’s the job I did on her bedside lockers!!!
Before
Best furniture paint brush set!
First colour choice - raw silk from fusion
i sat them up on stools to get the bottom part of them and save me sitting on the floor
First coat
Little boomerang
One down one to go
2 done!!!
i let the paint dry a week before doing the frog tape!!
Next colour choice - midnight blue
I put the frog tape over the cream paint (which in the ends still peeled off some of the paint)
First coat of navy
Unscrew the door handle
More tape for the side of the drawer
Close up of the paint and tape!!
First coat of navy done!
Second coat started
Using two fussy blokes rollers they are amazing!!!!
Second coat on the drawers
I decided to match the handles of these to the chest of drawers so I changed them
Screwed into place
The satisfaction of removing tape the best bit!!!!
Here’s where the tape pulled some paint off!!! So I used a tiny brush and just went along it free hand
Close up of the drawer detail!!’
Finished !!!!!

Have a question about this project?
I am getting ready to refinish a dining room table. Would you recommend Fusion paint for this kind of project? Why or why not?
Oh my goodness. I am coming out of a terribly dark depression and I am going back to blues and navy. These are just gorgeous. What did you clean with before starting?
Did you sand it any before or during the painting process?
