After another sleepless night, I decided it was time for the dogs to get out of our bed and into their own.
I found this old baby cradle for free on craigslist and thought it would be a perfect.
I started by sawing through and removing one side of the balusters. Once they were cut in half they twisted out easily.
There was a shiny coat of varnish, so I did a primer coat with some leftover homemade chalk paint I had on hand.
I then painted the entire bed with a dark gray/black color.
Recently, I had replaced a few pillows on our bed and I saved the old pillows knowing I could use them for the dogs bed. I had purchased this fabric at a garage sale for $1.00. There was plenty to cover three pillows.
I sewed one big cover and stuffed the three pillows in, then sewed up the side.
Time for bed! And finally, a good nights sleep for me. :)
