Plank Headboard Given A Face Lift With Greek Key Design

I decided a plank style headboard (the cleat system) needed a face lift, so with my husband, Kyle's, help we did a Greek key design.
First step was to lay out the size of the design we wanted. We then had a printout made the exact size we wanted, to use as our guide on laying down the strips. We cut our strips to size according to our printout.
The next step was to sand the head board then lay down the printout in the spot we wanted the pattern. Then we started to lay out the strip gluing then stapling them into place. The next step was to cut out the paper printout.
The finished headboard. I painted the blue first then painted the white key design, with a small brush : )
