Super Easy Rocking Chair Makeover

I discovered this antique rocking chair on a used furniture website for $35.00. It's last owners stated that it had spent many years collecting dust in their garage. As soon as I saw it ... I knew it would be a great project for a makeover.

First, a good cleaning with a dry, lint free cloth and a quick sanding over a few rough spots.
Next, I applied the first application of " Fusion Penny & Co. Collection  Azure Mineral Paint". The paint is amazing to work with ... easy to apply ... it glides on ... drying to a smooth, matte finish.
I let the rocking chair dry for approximately 12 hours before applying the second coat of paint.  After drying overnight ... the rocking chair was ready to be distressed.
I used a 220 grit sanding paper block to distress the rocking chair.  I lightly distressed to enhance the beautiful carved detailing on the front of the rocking chair. Then, I dry brushed the entire chair to remove any dust and paint particles.
The last step of the makeover process was applying the "Fusion Mineral Paint Beeswax Finish" made with natural Hemp Oil and pure beeswax.  I love it because it's non toxic and 100% natural.

With a lint free, cloth I applied the wax in a circular motion.. covering the entire rocking chair.  The wax glides on smoothly and easily...the beeswax is a beautiful finish to the rocking chair.
My rocking chair makeover...from drab and dreary to fab and beautiful...
