When your pet pees on your carpet, prevent it from smelling and staining with this easy tip.
You will need:
*paper towels, absorbent rag
*baking soda
*vacuum

Blot up as much of the urine as you can.
Sprinkle liberal amounts of baking soda over the affected area.
Let it dry for at least a few hours and cover with a plate if necessary to prevent people from walking in the mess.
Vacuum up the baking soda.

I have discovered that the baking soda does work, I wasn't leaving it on the stain until it dried, it might take a while, but after it dries, I just vacuum it and come right up, works better then anything I've tried, thank you. I have tried dishwasher detergent, I just put a small amount on a wet towel and clean, but I have to say the baking soda is the best. Jenny, I was just trying anything I had to clean the spot up, never know what works.
