How do I scrub moss out of brick patio

I tried pressure washer but it makes a mess on the house and pool cage. Is there a vacuum you can use with a rotating brush that would work on brick patios with moss?

I would use bleach and a scrub brush. Here's one that fits on a drill:

Hello. It is possible you will need some chemical intervention such as bleach or vinegar to help get rid of the moss. Here is a link that you may wish to consider.

Thank you, interesting article, and I will use the bleach trick after I remove the moss. But I'd like to find a vacuum that could brush the moss off and scoop it up. It takes a lot of force to do by hand. Thanks again!
Ps the moss sticks up about a half inch and is embedded in the tiny borders between the unmortered bricjs.

No vacuum for that. You would need to scrape off as much as you can. The bleach or vinegar will kill the moss. You can also purchase Wet and Forge cleaner made fo the purpose

You can temporarily attach plastic sheets or tarps in the area you don't want to get dirty. Then use pressure washer.

A wire brush and a shop vac should work.
Mix 75% water and 25% bleach, let it soak in, and spray off with a hose.

I'd use a metal brush like for cleaning a grill
ou can use a mixture of equal parts bleach and water or vinegar and water for effective moss removal on brick structures. Put this mixture in a spray bottle. While bleach is more effective at moss removal, some choose vinegar because it is a non toxic option
Have you tried a scrub brush like this that you attach to your drill? I use it to clean off baked on gunk on my oven and in my bathtubs. Could do the trick! https://amzn.to/3nt0oGe

Hi Nancy,
You can buy a Wire Brush (Both Hand or long pole for the job). You can also buy a Between Paving cleaning tool that is a blade in an "L" shape on a long handle. Best wishes.
I'm not sure about the tool you are referring to but a slow process to eliminate and inhibit the growth is "wet and forget outdoor". You might consider it as a preventive tool once you get it clean.
Try a large wire brush on a long handle to loosen it first and then power wash?
