No drip pans, that is the most wonderful about glass cooktops. However, if you spill and burn things routinely like I do, you'll find yourself wiping down your stove after you use it. While wiping down after every use is great, a good scrubbing is needed every so often but you can use the simple trick I use everyday to get a streak free shine.
You will need:
Hot soapy water
Terry cleaning cloth

How to Clean a Glass Cooktop and Get a Streak Free Shine
Make sure you have milk, spill spices and pasta water burned to the surface and then wipe down with a hot soapy cleaning cloth.
Notice that you can get it all up with hot soapy water and liberally sprinkle baking soda.
Throw your cleaning cloth over the baking soda and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
Attempt to wipe up the baking soda. Wipe up until residue is gone.
Notice a clean but streaky appearance.
Pull out your trusty glass cleaner and microfiber cloth. Homemade glass cleaning solutions should work well too.
Spray cleaner and buff with your microfiber cloth for a streak free shine.

Alexa on Aug 28, 2016For glass cook tops that have a lot of burned on gunk, you can use plain ole oven cleaner...the kind you use INSIDE the oven. You do have to be careful to keep the vent fan on the whole time and don't let it get on anything but the glass. I usually lay damp paper towels over the whole thing and put something over them so they won't dry out. The next morning you can usually just wipe everything away and it a little is still stuck on, a plastic scraper comes in handy. When you have removed all the oven cleaner and wiped it with a damp cloth, either glass cleaner or my favorite , denatured alcohol will get the haze. There is also another product that is a milder form of oven cleaner...it came in a blue spray bottle the last time I bought it, that works well too. You have to let the cleaners have time to do their job instead of wasting energy scrubbing.
