I had an old mannequin that I purchased at a garage sale over 15 years ago.
Last Christmas I saw some ideas on Pinterest and finally got around to dressing her this holiday season!
So this is how she was dressed for years and stood in our bedroo. I removed all of the jewelry, etc from her. I wrapped chicken wire
around her bottom half, just below her waist. I secured it with zip ties.
(sorry no photo of it)
I had an old christmas tree, the kind before all the pre-lit ones, where you had to match each branch up with the corresponding letter on the pole. Starting with the longest of branches at the bottom of the tree, (I had to bend each metal wire -used my bare hands and paid for that for a week after- and hung them one by one to the chicken wire. The brances were shorter as I went higher. In this photo, you see her all done with just some lights I had from Christmas.

Hers what she looked like just before she was all done. I added Dollar Tree pointsettas to her 'skirt' and fixed the lights.
I hung some Christmas balls and added a red cape from a hallween Costume. I have since decorated her for each holiday.....
Valentine's Day...the hearts and roses are from the Dollar Tree. I had the necklace, top and scarf.
St. Patrick's Day..purchased green string lights from AC Moore and green carnations, gold coins and the scarf from the Dollar Tree. I had the shirt.
And here she is for Easter....the sweater I had....I purchased the Easter lights at AC Moore and the egg ornaments I've had for a couple of years, but you can find at AC Moore or Pier One.
