DIY Candy Corn Tulle Wreath

There are two things I really love at Halloween: candy corn and tulle wreaths. Something about tulle just screams Halloween to me, so I really love making a new tulle wreath each year. This year, I decided to marry my love of candy corn with my love of making tulle wreaths and I love the final result!

Choose a pattern for your tulle colors

The tulle that is sold in rolls is so convenient for making these wreaths. I bought sparkly yellow, sparkly orange, and plain white tulle for this wreath.

I use a piece of cardboard to cut my tulle strips. I cut the cardboard to be the length I want my tulle strips to be and then wrap the tulle around it. I then just cut the tulle on each side and I have 50+ strips. This is so much easier than trying to measure it all out and cutting it one strip at a time, trust me!

Many people like to use the looping method when making tulle skirts—this method does not work well for a wreath. It must be knotted—besides, I kind of like the look the knots give to the wreath.

I freehanded the candy corn shapes on felt

After my tulle was all on the wreath (it's a nice activity to do in front of your favorite show), I knew I needed a decoration of some sort to put on the wreath. So I made a candy corn out of stiffened felt. I tried two different sizes and then went with the larger size. I had originally thought having three candy corns on the wreath would work, but I ended up liking just one better.
