DIY Halloween Signs
Can’t find the right sign for Halloween? Maybe they are too small, too big, too expensive or they are sold out.
Just grab some spray paint, acrylic paint, wood, letters and glue. Then just like magic, you can create some fun wood signs. In a variety of budgets.
The first one is made from a pre-made painted base. With small wood letters and glue from Hobby Lobby. The 2nd is made from precut wood from Home Depot with 8 inch wood letters from Walmart. Finally, the 3rd one is more wood from Home Depot, paint and stencils.
So many possibilities. So let’s scroll down and get started.

Note: Each sign had a different price point. I made these to help fit all budgets.
The Wizard Lab - This one was the most expensive. The pre-painted base was originally $21. Purchased on sale for $10.50. The letters were around $1.79 each. Bought these letters on sale for $1.39 each. The spray paint I used was $5.79 at Home Depot and made all three signs. The craft paint was $1 each. Wood Glue was around $4.50
The Potions Sign - This was less. The precut wood was $5.95 at Home Depot. The wood letters from Walmart were around $1.29 each.
The Spells Sign - This was the cheapest. $4.95 for the wood at Home Depot, Stencils with coupon was $4.50 from Michael’s. They can be used over and over.
