So, grab your glue gun and let’s get started on your New Year’s Eve party decorations!

The first time I made this New Years’ Eve Ball Drop DIY was on my local Fox14 Morning Show and it was a huge hit! There are a few fun ways I thought of to make it for several other projects, and if you think of any new ideas let me know! Here are a few things to try, you can make it into a “Mirror Ball Trophy” for a dance contest by gluing it on a glass candlestick from the Dollar Tree. Now, it is evolving into a wine stopper for my friend’s New Year’s Eve party. You can also hang it from a chandelier or wreath. The possibilities are endless!

How to make diy wine stopper – new year’s eve PARTY DECOR

  1. Glue Cork Stopper to Ornament

Start by gluing your cork bottle stopper to the opposite end of the ornament as the on/off switch.

  • Glue Shot Glasses to Ornament

Next start gluing your shot glasses around the cork in a circle. Leave a little room to make sure the bottle will have clearance.

  • Continue Gluing the Glasses

Continue gluing the shot glasses around in a circle and then a new row as close together as possible but not touching.

  • Add Chain (optional)

Add gold chain if you want to hang your New Year’s Eve Decoration from a wreath or chandelier.
