I love a fun and easy DIY craft and that is exactly what I have for you guys today. This one is a craft anyone can do. All it requires is a trip to the Dollar Tree or craft store, essentially wherever they sell Doilie Hearts. I found (2) packs of doilie hearts: one pink and one white, a $2.00 investment. You'll also need a string or ribbon for this craft as well. All in all, it's a very inexpensive craft project that takes less than an hour to create. Once all is said and done, you'll have a festive Valentine's Day garland you can hang up anywhere in the house.

Instructions:

  1. First, remove the doilie hearts from their package. Next you will measure the desired length of you string or ribbon - I measured mine to more than 5 feet. However, you can determine your exact length needed dependent on the space available in your home.
  2. Once your string is cut, you will start to weave the string through the little holes on the doilie heart and keep repeating that process until you are satisfied with the look of the garland.
  3. I decided to alternate the pink and red colors - however, you can do whatever you please and do an entirely solid pink or solid red garland. The choice is up to you!
  4. Lastly, you can hang up your garland on your desired wall space. A fun, inexpensive easy DIY for Valentine's Day or all year round.

First, remove the doilie hearts from their package. Michaels also has some great heart doilies available.

Measure the length of your string or ribbon, depends on what size garland you'd like to make. I found this jute twine at the Dollar Tree, but you can find something similar at Hobby Lobby.

Start to weave the string through the little holes on the doilie heart and keep repeating that process until you are satisfied with the look of the garland.
