I needed a spiderweb for my large spiders. I decided to DIY it with macrame rope I had on hand. You could use yarn, string, etc.

I decided to place it inside my 3 sided shack since I was making it a little bit spooky for visitors.

Supplies

I used macrame rope, ryobi staple gun, and scissors. And spiders sized to fit my web.

This is so easy

Start with a plus + sign. Be sure to knot your ends and staple them to so they're secure.

Stapled

Stapled knot using my staple gun. I love my Ryobi one, it's so easy to use!

Base web

Next do an X across the plus

With each end knotted and stapled.

You can loop each around as it crosses another rope or simply knot the last one to secure.

Simple knots

Start the inner web near the center by knotting an end of the rope onto the base web. Then a knot on the next strand and moving around in a circle.

Continue

Keep going around moving outward.

Easy peasy to do!

Add spiders

Use spiders that have bendy wire legs to attach them. These are so cute!

With the cost of Halloween decorations it was nice to do this spiderweb free since I already had everything needed. I think the kids will enjoy it!

I would suggest to now go over the strands with a wide brush and glow-in-the-dark paint. Different colors are available.
