Lamp Post Ghost for Halloween

I wanted to added a little Halloween decor to my lawn this year. This easy lamp post ghost for Halloween was a fun way to do that. I’m not really big on gore and blood. I like eerie and I like fun. I decided to go with fun for this lawn decor. It could not have been much easier to put together! If you have a lamp post in your yard, turn it into a fun ghost!
To make my Easy Lamp Post Ghost for Halloween, I purchased three yards of white gauze fabric at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts and some cheese cloth at The Dollar Tree.
I wanted to use gauze because I knew it would be easy to thread fishing line through. Because it’s so transparent, I needed something a little bit heavier to cover the head of the ghost. Cheese cloth worked well for that.
To put it together, I simply draped the cheese cloth over the top of the lamp post, allowing it to fall down the front. I topped that with the gauze. Using clear fishing line, I tied the cloth to the lamp post at the base of the light fixture. The eyes and mouth are attached with staples.
I threaded some fishing line through the gauze and tied it to branches of the nearby shrubbery on each side. If you use a lamp post and need something to tie the gauze to, I would think you could add a couple of dowels into the ground next to it.
This only took a few minutes to put together, and it’s a fun way to add some Halloween lawn decor.
