Photo Napkin Rings…Find Your Seat…Thanksgiving Dinner is Served!
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love all the fuss and the food and the entertaining!
Some of my greatest meals and epic fails happened on Thanksgiving!
Dinner for 25…
I didn’t know that raspberry chipotle sauce is put on the last 15 minutes of cooking time…a blackened disaster!
But always, always we set a fun table. This year is no exception!
Introducing – photo place card/napkin rings to grace the Thanksgiving table and to adorn the Christmas tree!
Here’s what you need:
- Small tree rounds. About 4 inches in diameter.
- Sandpaper block.
- Photo of each guest invited to the table.
- Drill to drill a hole in each round.
- Polyurethane sealer to coat and preserve the photo.
First prep the wood rounds. Sand. Drill.
2 types of grit sanding sponge – rough and smooth.
Sand to get a smooth surface.
Ready for step 2 – drill a small hole for hanging.
A tiny hole for the hanger loop.
Perfect!
One per guest.
Step 3 – select a photo of each guest. Print on copy paper.
Step 4 - Trace the Image to Fit on the Place Card and Cut Out.
Apply a thin layer of glue and press the photo onto the round.
Pat dry with paper towel – the glue will dry clear.
It’s fun selecting the photos…
Use a paper clip to poke a hole through the photo paper.
So fun!
Once the rounds are dry, you can apply polyurethane to protect the photo…but it’s not necessary.
So easy to poke through the hole.
Twist the stem to create a loop.
Please take your seat…dinner is served!
Once the Thanksgiving table is cleared…the place card is an ornament for the tree!
