Pool Noodle Repurpose for Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for, but I hate spending a bunch of money on something that will be stored in a box most of the year. Luckily, I was able to make these witch’s legs with items I already had.
For this project, you need a pool noodle, a pair of tall socks, a pair of shoes, and some plastic bags or something else to use for stuffing. You can also use a dowel rod or rebar to stick inside the noodles and into the ground.
I plan to keep these inside or under our patio, so I used a pair of my own heels that I don’t wear very often. You could also buy some from a thrift store and spray paint them for more fun options!
Start by stuffing a few bags in the foot part of the sock. Three shopping bags was perfect for me. Insert the sock into the shoe and reshape the foot as needed. Feed the pool noodle all the way into the heel of the sock, and pull the top of the sock up as far as possible on the noodle, or halfway the noodle, whichever is less. Cut the noodle and repeat these steps for the other side.
The shoe was still a little floppy, so I added another bag behind the pool noodle for support. Depending on where you are putting these, you may want to stuff it inside the sock so you can’t see the bag.
Also, if you are having trouble getting the sock to stay up, you can stick a few pins along the top into the pool noodle.
If you want them sticking out of a pot, add some rebar or a dowel rod into the noodle and stick it in the dirt.
Or you can lay them out as if your house fell on them! I can’t wait to start getting my other Halloween decor out!

I have been all over town looking for pool noodles. cant find any so next best thing. Fame you put around you pipes. Just incase anyone else was looking for them. I went to walmart and in the plumbing put A pack of 2 was around $3.50. worked out just fine . but you do have to type it together . just in case anyone ask

I just LOVE your frog! Is it made out of a clay pot? Too stinking cute!
Couldn’t you use plastic PVC pipe for the legs also? Just make them about 2 ft. to three feet long. I think of PVC pipe because we have old pipe laying around where my aunt and mother-in-laws bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens was redone, so we have a lot of old PVC pipe laying around at the barn. Use what you have on hand instead of going and buy new stuff.
