Upcycled Frame Becomes Easter Decor With DIY Distressed Wood

I found this frame in the corner of a basement at an Estate Sale. They actually gave it to me for free. With a little bit of milk paint and some DIY distressed wood, it has a totally new look - perfect for Easter!
I tested out a new method to creating a distressed, white-wash look to new wood. Head on over to the blog for a breakdown of the steps I used to make the new pine bead board pieces look a little more aged.
I used Miss Mustard Seed Milk paint in French Enamel (just peeking through) and a top coat of Artissimo on the frame.
I cut out a cross from burlap, and then cut a slightly larger cross with pinking shears from a bright, floral fabric. It adds a fun pop of color, perfect for spring.
