I have always enjoyed making things, and have a sentimental attachment to Christmases past. I cherish my childhood very dearly in my heart and these ornaments feel very nostalgic and old timey. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I do.
I began this project with different kinds of Christmas fabric I had lying around. It doesn’t really require a lot of material and can be made using as many layers as you like.

First you cut 8 - 3”x 3” squares of matching fabric.
Next fold the fabric in half, and then fold down the sides to make a triangle shape.
Pin the triangle onto a foam ball, so the point of the triangle is facing upwards. You will want to pin all 4 identical triangles so they are all lined up. Do the same with the other 4 triangles on the other side.
This is what the first completed side looks like. Do the same to the opposite side of the foam ball.
Next cut 16 - 3”x3” pieces of a corresponding fabric. Fold 4 triangles and overlap the first 4 triangles. Here is a finished side. Do the same to the opposite side. You should have 8 pieces per side In total.
Take the last 8 triangles - 4 per side and pin them to overlap the last triangles you did. Do the same to the opposite side. You should have 12 per side.
You will notice an unfinished edge. Simply add some ribbon and pin it in place to cover it up.!
