I was given the opportunity to put together the candy table at a masquerade birthday party. What fun! I wanted to center the table around the person who was being celebrated. Masquerade balls were an element of the Carnival season in the 15th century, and interweaved increasingly elaborate symbolic Royal entries, pageants, and triumphal processions celebrating marriages and other dynastic events of late medieval court life.
okay I purchased a large container of "bling" from Hobby Lobby.. not always use coupons.
Next I took an old wig styro foam head and painted it.
I used this to paint the head it changed the feel of the styro-foam ,but it was okay.. it made it look more realistic.
I put down paper outside and painted the head let it dry... perfect
found a mask at any store ( Walmart /craft store) blinged it out with my hot glue gun.
use scissors to cut metallic paper.
I took gold stuffing paper cut it into small sheets, and beagan to wrap each lollipop ( dum dum)
a bag of DUM DUMs yes...;.
a roll of string Michaels had it for 50cents a roll.. what a steal!
next began to stick each dumdum on to the head meticulously in order.
continue to place the lollipops onto the head until full.
fill in any empty spaces you see.
this was what it looked like at home... next to display at the celebration.
this was at the Masquerade celebration the candy table
