Yes folks, it's that time of year again. It's time we start thinking of our fall decorations. Loving fall as I do, I couldn't wait to get started on my newest project. The cost is just an estimate, as I had the glue gun and glue already. I figured the gun and glue would cost around $5.25. I'm listing this as moderate ONLY because of using a hot glue gun, as we all know we get glue on our fingers as well as what we're working on....well, at least I do. icon
I started by purchasing this fake pumpkin from Trader Baker Flea Market in Seymour, IN, for $2.68 with tax.
I had purchased some random flowers at a sale for $1.00, and thought some of them would be perfect for my project once I got home.
This little crow came from Dollar Tree, so you guessed it, he was only $1.07 with tax.
Next, I hot glued the crow to the stem on the pumpkin.
Pull off flowers leaving the little stem part.
Putting some hot glue on part of each flower, I attached them to the bottom of the pumpkin.  I put a piece of newspaper under the pumpkin before I started, just in case some glue dripped.
After the glue was dry, I flipped the pumpkin over and put a little more glue on each stem.
Cut the stems off two fall leaves.
Glue the two leaves to the bottom of the stem, at the top of the pumpkin, and there you have it, a cute fall decoration just waiting to be on display.
This pumpkin has nothing to do with the project I just did, but I wanted to show how you could decorate a pumpkin with a face.  I already had this made, or I would have shown you how to do it as well.  Just a little glue, a few other goodies, and a big imagination is all you need to do this little guy.
