Here is an easy and fun project for decorating a tiered tray for Valentine's day using only scraps and leftover pieces of scrapbook paper and ribbon. Literally free!
Tiered Tray Ideas for Valentine's Day
First, I began with 2 pieces of scrap wood. They were leftover from other projects and as you can see, not particularly clean.
I sanded the edges of each piece of wood then painted them white.
When the glue dried I used hot glue to glue the 2 blocks together.
I'm using a mini glue gun here but I have many that work equally as well.
Next, I printed out the words I wanted to use on the spines of my books.
I cut the paper into a strip that fit the spine of the books and used Mod Podge to adhere it.
Then I grabbed a small piece of leftover scrapbook paper and glued it to the top of the stack.
Your stack of books can be made with 2 or more blocks.
Using scrap gingham ribbon I tied the bundle together and added an embellishment.
You can make this book stack to fit any holiday.
I added mine to my tiered tray for Valentine's Day!
