How to make an owl sweater wreath. This is a beautiful wreath that can be used for Christmas and through the winter. I used Dollar Tree supplies for this wreath.

I used an old sweater for the base. I had one that had a hole in it, but it worked great! I found the greenery, the foam wreath, and the owl at Dollar Tree. If you can't find the owl at Dollar Tree, there are several similar ones available on Amazon. I used a 10 inch wreath form, but you can use a different size.

To make this wreath, you will need:

  • Foam wreath
  • Owl plush ornament
  • Candle ring florals or other greenery
  • Pine cones.
  • Sweater
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Floral wire
  • Wire cutters

Start by cutting the sweater to wrap around the wreath. I cut from the bottom of the sweater.

Wrap the sweater fabric around the wreath ring. Use hot glue to attach it.

Turn the wreath over to hide the seams. Cut the greenery and discard excess plastic pieces. Use hot glue to add the greenery to the wreath.

Then add the berries and the owl. I used floral wire to attach the owl.

Then use floral wire to add a hanger to the top of the wreath.

I hope this inspires you to make your own sweater wreath!

Whooo would have thought that the grey covering was a sweater in its former life? 🦉
