Scrappy Valentine's Day Wreath

I wanted to hang a Valentine's Day wreath on my home's front door. But I didn't want to run to the craft store for supplies or invest big bucks to purchase one. So, I repurposed some leftover ribbon, felt and mini wood rounds that I had from some Christmas crafts to create a brand-new wreath for Valentine's Day.

I used an inexpensive wire wreath form I already had on hand, 22 feet of wired ribbon, 4-5 sheets of felt and 4 mini wood rounds. I also used a leftover Christmas bow, some permanent markers, glittery acrylic craft paint, a hot glue gun with hot glue, and scissors.

Creating the wreath was easy. I simply cut the ribbon into 6-inch long strips. I also cut the felt into thin strips, cutting along the long edge of the felt. I tied the strips onto the wreath, alternating between the felt and the ribbon.

Within minutes, the wreath started taking shape.

I tied my large bow onto the bottom of the wreath. I then drew hearts onto my mini wood rounds with some permanent markers. I dabbed some glittery paint onto each heart.

Then all there was left to do was hot glue the wood rounds onto the wreath and hang the wreath! I am happy with this bright and colorful Valentine's Day wreath.
