DIY Quick Sew Christmas Table Runner Tutorial...

30 Minutes
Easy
Here is a super quick way to make a table runner to exactly fit your dining table , or coffee, occasional, hall or entrance table...
Lets make one in a fun red and white Christmas themed fabric...

Cost of project: is the fabric/cotton costs. Time to create: is for the prep/sewing of pre washed and dry fabric.

First wash, then when dry, iron your fabric which is the length of the table with extra allowance for hemming.
Put the fabric on the table, check length, trim fabric to length allowing at least 5cm extra each end for hemming.
With right sides together pin across top of fabric

and down the length side.
sew...
Turn out to right side.

At this stage it is like a huge pillowcase.

Use a chopstick or blunt end knitting needle to poke corners out.

Iron again so seems are even.
At the bottom opening fold a seam inwards as shown.
Pin and sew .

On the other end sew exactly the same, so each end looks top stitched.

Press again with your iron.
Place on your table.

(Aren't those reindeer just the cutest?)
Add a Christmas centrepiece for that finishing touch.
