I love Christmas! I love gnomes! And I love cinnamon! Put them all together and I'm a very happy person! These are so cute and they make the whole house smell so yummy!

And they are simple to make!

Gnome sweet gnome

I found little cinnamon whisks brooms at Publix. They also have larger ones, but today I was focused on the minis. I think I bought 10.

I thought 3 brooms would be the right amount. So I cut all the cords on all 3.

I bundled them up and wrapped the tops with paper covered wire. Any wire will do...this is what I had. It will be covered so it doesn't matter. Pull the sticks a little to spread and shape them.

Bundled and wrapped

Make a paper cone, using the sticks as a guide. Decide how far down and how tall you want the hat and cut the cone accordingly. (And welcome to my living room!)

Wrap the cone with fabric, using hot glue.

Once the cone is wrapped, cut a few slits around the fabric. Hot glue them to the inside of the cone; giving the bottom a smooth and finished rim.

Put the cone on top of the bundle. Push it down until you're satisfied with how it sits. You can hot glue it if you like. I did not.

Next I painted a wood heart with black chalk paint for his shoes. You could also use a star shape, giving him pointy shoes. My motto is use what you have!

Load the heart with hot glue and push and hold the bundle until dry.

I glued a small wood disc for his nose. There are so many things you can use for his nose... a wood disc, a button, a pom pom , even a bell.

And that's it! He's so cute! And he smells so good! I also made one with the larger brooms. They're made in much the same way, but with a few differences.

Have fun if you make one. They are so fast and easy.

Merry Christmas and thanks for looking!
