Mini Christmas villages are some of the most beautiful Christmas displays ever, don’t you agree?

So why not make your own gorgeous Christmas village at home using paper and some glue!

Even though this project is so much easier with a cutting machine, it doesn’t mean you can’t make it by hand instead, using the Christmas village templates free printables. Of course, it will take more time and patience but it’s doable.

I created 2 types of houses, 2 complex and 2 simpler so anyone could make it.

GETTING YOUR CHRISTMAS VILLAGE HOUSES CUT:

Snag your cut files from the blog (link below) and download them to your computer and then open them in your electronic cutting machine app.

In my case, I used the Silhouette Cameo app studio.

The files include a pdf version, silhouette files, and SVG files for your convenience.

NOTE: Just please keep in mind that for Cricut users, I’ve heard the SVG get a bit messed up in their app. Score lines/fold lines turn into solid lines which are read as cut lines and sometimes the elements don’t show in the right size. So there’s that.

If you decide to for cutting by hand, I suggest printing the simpler ones in different sizes to create a variety of houses.

Once you have them cut start folding following the score lines.

Apply glue on the flaps and start assembling your little houses. I decided to make the roof in black because that was the theme I was using but you can use gold, glittered, or whatever you hearts desire.

Keep gluing the pieces such as chimneys, garages, and other parts too.

Then assemble your cute trees. Fold each tree piece in half and glue the outer side to the next. I used 3 for some and 4 for others to create diversity.

Once you have plenty of houses and trees start creating the Christmas village. I used white fleece to simulate snow and card boxes underneath to simulate hills. I also added a string of light to add light inside the houses.

There you go! Isn't it super cute and cozy? I absolutely love it.

Hope you like it!

P.S. I set the "how challenging it is" to easy but if you plan to cut it by hand then it could be considered medium!

I’ve had my Cricut for three years now and have t even opened it yet. I know I know…I will have to get on you tube and figure it out.

I just love little villages but my only interest would be the trees. I have tons of ceramic houses that I’ve bought over the years and painted all of them white and added snow sparkle, glitter…I used the German glitter glass, to the tops.

Yours is really pretty as it looks so fresh and new. Maybe I need to consider repainting mine…they have sort of faded over the years.
