How many disco balls does it take to decorate a 7 foot tree for New Years Day? A lot! A few years ago I did just that as we were having a party and now am left with a lot! I have over the years put them in bowls around the house and occasionally in a vase. Last year I received these cute little battery operated mini lights from a friend as a gift. So this year I can put them to use! I also save all my vases over the years and put them to good use from time to time. Everything that I used for this project came from my own collection of items with a few purchases of....yes some mini disco balls.
These are the items I used, three sets of battery operated mini lights, about 8 packages of disco balls (3 per package) 6 containers of mini disco balls, and 3 different shaped vases.
To start, put one set of mini light in each vase, and turn them on!
Leave the lights on as you decorate so if needed you can move them around as you add your disco balls. Alternate the large and small disco balls and use the small ones to fill the gaps.
If needed, use chop sticks to move the lights around. These can bring you from Christmas right into the New Yearicon

I did the same thing but used tiny colorful Christmas balls. However, using the disco balls is a great idea and not relegated to just Christmas time.
