We love the holiday season, especially finding the perfect gift for those special people on our lists. We truly believe that the presentation of the gift is just as important as the gift itself, that's why it's important to take some extra time to take your gifts to the next level.

Enter the big fluffy bow! It takes some practice, but you can definitely recreate the store-bought package look and create your own gorgeous holiday bow this year!

And, believe it or not, wrapping gifts this way is much less expensive than buying pre-made bows!

You can find the full step-by-step tutorial on our blog right here, or read below for more details.
I would suggest buying big spools of ribbon from Costco.  They carry ribbon all year long, in various widths and colors.  Each spool holds 50 yards, so for $6.99 you get 150 feet of heavyweight, beautiful ribbon.

Rookie Tip: The ribbon with wire along the edges is much easier to work with, especially for a beginner.  It holds its shape better and it is easier to “fluff”.  I would suggest starting your bow making experience using this type of ribbon if you can find it.
You'll want to cut the ribbon off the spool, so go ahead and eyeball how much you'll need. Wrap it on the back and over to the front on each side and then tie in the middle on the front of the gift.
With the ribbon secured around the package you can get to work on the large ribbon that will go on the top of the package.

Check out our blog post for the full step-by-step on how to create this gorgeous bow.
Here is the final product! We estimate that it only costs about $.65 per package to create these gorgeous bows. So much cheaper than buying pre-made bows at the store.

Happy wrapping friends!

It is not true the bows will only cost $0.65/present. The pretty ribbons are not cheap.

I know because I only buy beautiful ribbon spools that have wire in it.
