Finding inexpensive ways to create awesome looks is one of my passions. So when I spotted mirror sheets at my local fabric store... My mind went wild with Ideas. I decided I would make a Mirrored "S" to s
The video above will show you how to recreate this look or you can follow the step by step instructions below. Either way... you will enjoy the end result.
Have fun!
Items need:
1. Letter of your choice
2. Mirror Sheet - found at JoAnn Fabrics or Amazon
3. Spray Paint - Metallic Silver
4. E-6000 Glue
5. Hot Glue and Scissors
Start by tracing the letter on the back of the mirror sheets. You will want to make sure your letter is turned backwards so the mirror is clued on properly.
(I cut a mirror for both sides... but not on purpose)
After tracing both sides of the Letter and cutting pieces to cover the sides.. I ended up with these pieces.
I think took the Letter outside and spray painted it.
Once dry, I used the E-6000 to glue my mirror pieces onto the letter.
I like to use the E-6000 because it allows me to re position the mirror sheets if needed.
I then used the hot glue/glue gun to glue the sides of the letter. I used the hot glue instead of the E-6000 because it allowed me to form the mirror strips to the curves of the "S" and dry fast enough to maintain it's shape.
Once all the pieces where glued on I peeled off the protective sheet and glued a single strip of diamond mesh on to outline the letter.
This was the end result.

Why would you need to spray paint it if you're going to cover all sides with the mirror sheets?

It turned out great by the way!
