I was thrilled to find this lovely old sturdy square mirror in a junk shop for £5 and knew it would transform into a thing of beauty with a little love and colourful creating!

Junk mirror

I have a new range of pretty colourful ceramic shaped tiles and begin working out colour palette and design.

Inlay yellow glass

I have some perfect sized yellow and orange gold tile strips which I place in the inner mirror rim. Using PVA glue I stick down alternate colours to fill space.

Then onto an edging of yellow orange square 12mm beauties.

Yellow tiles

I have these amazing fire coloured teardrop shaped ceramic tiles which form part of my design fire and bubbles!

Red tiles

Next it’s circles glued down around in shades of red orange white pearly and yellow. I leave spaces i between tiles for grouting later.

Bubble tiles

It’s looking so cool or should I say with these colours HOT!

Finish it with outer edges of yellow and orange to complete the design.

Mix up powder grout with black colour powder ready for grouting job next .

Mix colour powder black

I work the grout into all the crevices and after a messy few minutes it’s time to wipe of excess grout to reveal the beautiful design.

It’s a great feeling once it’s all cleaned up and ready to hang and I’m so delighted how well it turned out.

Incredible! I love the pattern of the tiles. The black grout really makes the colors pop. ❤️

Beautiful. I like the contrast of the black grout with the colors.
