Sharing a simple bed pillow hack. Like so simple.

I was on a pillow kick in 2020. It started with this fun tutorial on how to wash down pillows. I shared this video on my youtube channel. The video is a bit rough.;0)

And, I bought new pillow covers along the way and these made in the USA pillows.

And, then I finally was ready to “stage” the pillows on the bed. Usually, making the bed is a quick tug to pull up the coverlet and toss a few pillows on opposite edges of the bed.

While I updated our daughter’s room to a part-time guest room I had to work with her teenage era oversized bed/trundle and built-in bookcases.

Where at one time the bookcase held the American Girl and Harry Potter series, now it just was more case than books and somewhat sterile.

So here is a simple pillow hack for a bed frame whether it is in your twenty-year-old house or a rental in the city that is short on space.

SIMPLE BED PILLOW HACK

This simple pillow hack turns the traditional horizontal pillow on its side. It elevates the pillows vertically.

Yes, it makes a difference. Run upstairs and try it!

Tips:

To give your pillows the most height possible it’s best to work with a heavier or starched cotton pillowcase.

Your more dense pillows work best because they tend to stand upright on their own. The bottom pillow below is the “weight” you want for your pillows to stand vertically.

I pinched the corners to elevate the vertical look.

And ta-da you have these peeked corners like this.

Instead of a 1/2 dozen accent pillows, you have two to three strategically placed pillows. That’s it!

Oh and speaking of bed frames… remember to do this before moving furniture.
