Hi Peggy, I love to make these little paper Christmas trees. I have given them as gifts and they are perfect for a small space. I have used both vintage type paper and book pages to make them. https://www.recreateddesigns.com/2017/11/christmas-tree-craft-paper-diy/
Oh, what a wonderful question! I love to make homemade jams and jellies and put them in a pretty canning jar, for the lid take a saucer and put it on a piece of holiday fabric or tissue paper, trace a circle from the edge and cut it out. Put a piece of fiberfill (optional) and rubberband the circle over the lid.
Many of my friends are diabetic, so I make the jam or jelly sugarfree.

If you have pictures of the gift recipient or can get them, you can make a transfer onto tee-shirts, etc. by scanning the pic into your computer and then printing on transfer sheets available at any crafting store and office supply stores and then ironed onto whatever you want. The transfer sheets can be used for monograms, etc. I've done many of these for baby onesies, bags, etc. and they are always a big hit.

Make small pine cone wreaths you can hang on a doorknob. Hot blue hemlock (tiny) cones, acorns, acorn caps until you cover the entire wreath best to use foam or straw, and hang a few ribbons with tiny bells attached, add a Merry Christmas to/from note on friends and neighbors doorknobs.
Make gift tags out of last year's cards. Cut a tiny line around a piece of the card, meaning leave 1/8" around a picture of a tree or candle. Punch a hole and put in a piece of rafia or string for hanging tag.
Make your own wrapping paper. Get roll of craft paper, brown or white. Use apples, squares or stars cut from a sponge and dip in poster paint or acrylic and dab all over the paper in the size you need to wrap a gift. You can use a wadded up rag and make all over design dipped in paint with multiple colors like several shades of one color. SO pretty.

I painted my own ornaments. I would get wood ones from the craft shows. I also painted tons of Santa's. I actually collect them. With old fake Christmas trees, I have made beautiful wreaths for my door and for friends doors. There are lots off coffee filter wreath patterns out there. They are easy and all you need is a hanger and coffee filters from the dollar store. You can also use left over christmas trees to make outdoor decorations.

Hello Peggy,
How about a Promise! A Promise is something they can retrieve from you during the year. You could promise to: Make a Cake, Baby Sit, Iron, Style their hair, Repair something, Garden, Arrange flowers etc. depends on your skill set! Use a toilet roll centre, cover or paint and decorate it. Push in the ends to make a box. Place your promise inside and tie with a bow and a label of explanation. Hope that idea is of help!
I love making homemade ornaments for friends and family for Christmas.

Many years ago I found a kit in a hobby shop where you filled a metal frame with plastic pieces. This was placed in the oven. It made about a dozen tree ornaments. If you scroll down to their best seller (Melissa and Doug's Stained Glass Ornaments that is VERY close to what I used.

If you are creative, you can make custom art for them. My neighbor gifted me with a large rustic monogram for my home (on wood) and I love it: https://momhomeguide.com/currently-december-2017/
