Jewelry Resin Coaster?
i read about the resin coasters and putting flowers petals in them , I thought of putting my husband’s wedding band in one(he passed away and I don’t want to lose it) and or my rings also as a keepsake with his as a memory. Do you think the rings would sink or should I just fill up half way and let dry some before I add the rest of the resin?

I will tell you a couple things, some resin turns yellow over time so be careful when picking one with something this valuable. It's forever, you can't dissolve it to get the rings back.
I would suggest you just buy a small cloche or make one and put the rings in it. Because as Chas' said if the resin yellows you will never be able to get the rings out. Besides your children if you have any may want the rings.
Got to agree with not using resin. Look at crafts stores for a small glass display box. Really a shame to destroy it by covering it with resin.
I agree, resin will yellow - maybe you could display them in a small shadow box.
Hello Lavria,
It would be a shame to cover them with a resin, they could be thrown out in years to come as just junk! Do speak to a jeweller to see if he/she can come up with a better idea.
You could always wear it on a chain around you neck or place inside a heart Cage Pendant or add it to a charm bracelet, or even have it melted down and reformed into a ring you could wear. Best wishes.
Hi! Maybe a shadow box with other mementos from your life together? A photo from your wedding, or just the rings in a pretty display case. Hung on the wall, they will be safe, and where you can enjoy them. I'm sorry for your loss.
This is really a tough question. Wedding rings have so much sentimental value, especially when your loved one passes. I feel as deeply as you do about this and it is a hard question, to say the least.
You have an interesting idea of embedding the ring in a resin coaster, where it would be visible mainly to you and yet serve a purpose, I am afraid these would be overlooked by other family members and tossed as items do get tossed. They just (resin coasters) do not have much value. Plus you might change you mind over time and want to get it out of the resin.
My suggestion would be to get a safe, put it in there and look at it when you need to and until you can make a clear decision on what you want to do.
BTW, I asked my husband what he would do and that is what he suggested. Best to you.
Hi Lavria, honestly , resin is very permanent, you can't get those back once you coat them. I would look more towards a small shadow box that you could hang on the wall with a small engraved plaque with significant info on it. You can hang it in a place where you see it everyday. I have attached a few ideas for you to check out.
