Make a blanket holder
Make a blanket holder
looking for DIY ideas To hold extra blankets we have. Something like a blanket ladder or truly anything unique. I would like it to be durable I have five children are young is too young so there’s lots of activity here I need something somewhat big and efficient to store/display the larger blankets and Oddly large number of blankets we have accumulated. I wouldn’t mind making it out something that is repurposed. Or pallets…. Or anything constructive I wouldn’t mind trying to make but it’s just me trying to do it on her own so make it simple adorable and nice. Thank you

Why not a storage bench with a id that lifts up to provide extra storage. You could sit on the bench to put on shoes etc. and then store your blankets inside also. Extra storage but out of sight.
if you have a lot of blankets you should go through them and donate the ones you never use or don't need; or store the extras in clear containers or the space bags you use a vacuum on to get the air out

A blanket ladder can be made simply by locating a few tree branches. Two relatively the same size for the outer frame and smaller shorter ones for the horizontal rungs. They can be tied together with jute twine or cotton rope or leather strips to make the piece sturdy enough to hang a variety of heavy blankets on the rungs.

If you are considering purchasing any new beds or sofas in the near future, I would suggest to look into the trundle style. These come with a space-saving built-in storage drawer that is large enough for blankets, yet keeps them easy to access when needed.
Here are a couple of examples:
I prefer mine to be stored in vaccuum bags or Ottoman myself.

I have used a blanket ladder and here is a tutorial to make one yourself from a repurposed bunk bed ladder https://www.homeroad.net/2013/05/ladder-blanket-organizer.html.
You can also just use a large canvas bin or basket!
I would try to find an old cabinet or bookshelf at the curb or thrift. Then I would get an old window or make a simple wooden frame at attache chicken wire to it as a door. I would paint the inside and outside with fun colors and place the blankets neatly folded inside.
