I had seen this gorgeous circular photo collage on Pinterest and instead of buying it, I decided to DIY it. It didn't come out exactly as planned but it still is pretty cute.

I gathered my materials (some of which I didn't end up using in the end) and was excited to get started :)

My first step was to spray the frames white so they all matched. I first put down a plastic sheet in order to not get my porch dirty as I am sure my landlord would not appreciate that.

I spray painted each frame liberally to make sure they all looked uniform.

Once I was done, I took a minute to admire my work, as I was already pretty excited.

The next step was literally the worst. I had to take the chicken wire and attach it to itself around the hula hoop. This honestly took me about an hour. Please learn from my mistakes and make sure you wear some sort of glove. I scratched my hands quite badly but I kept going as I was determined.

After an hour of contemplating whether or not this chicken wire was worth it or not, I decided to keep going. I laid out my frames to get an idea of how to put them on. I had spray painted 7 but only had room for 4 without it looking too cluttered. I was then somewhat perplexed of how to hang them. I tried stapling string to the back to hang them, but the staples were too thick. I thought about hot gluing them somehow but that was a much better idea in theory than reality. I then ventured to my local hardware store to find some inspiration. Luckily I found this strange hanging contraption (not pictured, yet) and ended up hot gluing them to the back instead of the nail which also was too much for the thickness of the frame.

Even thought I am not sooo happy with how it came out, it does make my room look a little bit cuter. Next step is to print out photos to make it complete.

Not sure how many times my "envisioned" projects turn out differently in the end...but that keeps things fun! I LOVE your photo display and you could use those extra frames to make another one - and wrestle that chicken wire again.
