I was looking on pintrest and found so many of these wreaths, all done a different way. So, here's my version. They also had different ones for every holiday.
The first thing I did was guessed how many clothespins I would need of each color. I placed clothespins on the edge of a long box and spray painted them brown. I did the same with the the other ones that were to be painted gold. The spray I chose was too light. I ran out and purchased the acrylic paint. That worked better. I let both colors dry. The spray painted ones took longer to dry.
When they were all dry, I started placing the brown clothespins on the wreath. You will need to turn the wreath backwards to assemble the wreath. When the brown clothespins were in place, I started putting the gold clothespins in place when I completed the wreath, I noticed a few wanted to flop down, so I used my glue gun and put a drop of glue on the back of the ones that were loose.
This is when I touched up any paint that got scraped on the clothespins while I was assembling the wreath. I added a burlap bow and the 2 sunflowers.

I have made many clothespin wreaths and found the least expensive clothespins at Wal-Mart. A package of 100 for $1.88.

Great price, I have to keep that in mind for the next wreath

I could even see a wooden or felt turkey head and neck making this into a different Thanksgiving wreath. Thanks for the idea!
