DIY Fish Shaped Butchers Block Cutting Boards

Check out these easy to make DIY Fish shaped cutting boards. Perfect for Nautical or beach themed homes.






These beautiful fish shaped cutting boards can be made in a variety of designs.









Start by gluing and clamping together 1x2" hardwood. We used red oak and poplar. Please refer to our short DIY video that shows each step. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0SrysSkMMs










Once the butchers block cutting board is finished its time to cut it into the shape of a fish. We used a jig saw.









A disc grinder with a flap sanding wheel was used to smooth out all of the edges.





We also used the disc grinder to add detail to the fins





Sand the cutting board smooth with 220 grit sand paper.





Drill a hole for the fish's eye

Once finished seal the board with cutting board oil.
