DIY Moss Bowl
I am so ready for spring and have been craving more green in our home. I’ve been wanting one of those moss bowls and figured I could make one cheaper than anything I found online! This only took a few materials and it was so easy to do.
Best moss!
What I used:
Decorative bowl
Packing paper
Moss (3 kinds)
Spray glue (not pictured)
Step 1. Stuff bowl
First I filled the base of the bowl with packing paper. You can also use plastic bags, scrap paper, or anything else you have laying around.
Step 2: Add base
I used Spanish moss as my base layer because it was the cheapest and the most neutral color. I covered all the packing paper with a thin layer.
Step 3: Add greenery
Next I used some basic green moss and scattered it around. I used spray glue to hold it down, but you can also use hot glue. You can even probably get away with not using any glue if you wanted to!
Step 4: Add interest
Next I scattered around a brighter green moss to add interest, again attaching it with spray glue. You can also use different colored moss or rocks.. anything to add texture! You can use as much or as little as you’d like- just play around with it until you’re happy.
It looks great on a console, as a center piece, or on a kitchen counter. This was a cheap DIY and it was so easy to do! Another easy one to customize too. Highly recommend giving it a try!
