Dollar Store Candle Holder Makeover

Easy
Here's a yarn makeover for a metal pillar candle holder from Dollar Tree. These are very versatile, as they could be made over in so many different colors depending upon the season, holiday or your decor.

My color of choice for most of my spring & Easter projects this year is blue - blues that will coordinate with this yarn from Walmart ($2.97) in Key Largo Tweed.

This is the yarn I used for my dollar store vase makeover.

For these candle holders, I threaded the yarn through a large needle and wove it in & out of the open work of the metal candle holder.

I knotted the beginning and end of the yarn on the inside of the candle holder.

I started weaving the yarn in & out at the bottom and finished it off by weaving in & out of the seam on the back of the candle holder.

Since I didn't use any glue, these can be deconstructed easily to makeover again in any other color - or used again as they were originally purchased.

Since yarn is involved, you should obviously use only battery-operated candles in these candle holders.

Stay tuned, as I'm still not finished with that yarn.

I'm not much of a crafter, rather a buyer.😊 But thanks to some of these nifty ideas, I've been able to craft some things myself. If I mess up I can simply take it apart and start again. Thanks for helping to birth a few crafting projects. Deb Albright
