How to Create a Beach Candle Bowl
I had a multiple rose bowls and I was trying to come up with a way to use them for everyday decor purposes.
*NOTE: As mentioned in my other posts I live in a small beach town where bylaws state that small amounts of sand "are" allowed to be removed for personal use. If you do not have permission to do so or even have access to sand it's best to purchase it or use the other alternative items that I shared in my video.
As previously stated I used rose bowls along with a variety of votive holders and candles that I already had in my craft room. Part of the fun was digging everything out and assembling each one a little differently to see how many combinations I could come up with.
Here are a few one the ones I came up with but the options are endless if I were to go shopping for more supplies.
Another idea was to skip the votive holder and I painted the tealight base a sandy color and just laid it on the sand. It was more natural with all items that were beachcombing finds, mussel, conch and snail shells, beach glass and a tiny piece of driftwood. It made for a great souvenir for anyone who was visiting here on vacation here to take to back with them a little bit of Home.
Moving on to trying the glass gems as the base, adding shells and driftwood along with a matching, frosted glass votive.
At this point I starred to run out of votive holders but I found this small dish that was an okay substitute to hold the wax candle. This one had terra cotta colored glass gems so I chose the apple spice candle to coordinate with it. The seashells were purchased in this case again with hints of earth tone color.
If you can't find these small seashells locally I was able to find a wide selection on Amazon.
Don't have a rose bowl? You can use any clear glass holder to layer in some beach elements. Here I layered sand, royal blue glass gems and inserted in a wax votive. Decorative blue string and a nautical button top off the look.
I hope you enjoyed this project and with access to all of these items at your fingertips through Amazon you too can create these beach bowls or vases. Thanks for viewing.
