Leather Braided Bowl
I recently made over my entryway and needed a catch all dish for it. Something unique that would add visual interest. I went on Pinterest and searched decorative bowls and found one with leather details which gave me an interesting idea to make my own.
Things you'll need:
•Melamine Bowl or any material you can easily make holes in like Wood, Plastic (you get the idea)
•Matte Black spray paint (or any color you prefer. I do recommend Matte because the finished look matches the leather more)
•Leather cord (measure the length because you do not want it to be too short)
Grab any bowl that you want to makeover preferably something easy to drill holes in.
Make a line all around the bowl 1/3 from the top. (See video for tip)
Mark 1.5 inch gaps all around
Drill holes on each marked space
Spray paint the bowl inside and out
Braid in leather cord.
And voila you have a unique decorative bowl you can style in your entryway or on a coffee table.
