You never know what you're going to find at Goodwill! A few weeks ago I found 3 glass pieces just waiting to be turned into a sweet little cupcake stand.

It all started when I came across this glass candle holder.

When I found this cloche, I really started thinking. Maybe I could make a cupcake holder, if I found the right sort of dish.

You know how Goodwill can be. Here one day, and gone the next, right?

When I found this dessert plate, the design reminded me of my grandmother's yellow depression glass called Cameo (some people call it the ballerina pattern). With these three pieces in hand, I knew I was set!

On home, and with my handy E6000 glue, I placed a bead of glue along the rim of the candle holder and placed the plate on top.

You might want to work on it upside down for the best viewing to make sure you're centered. Nothing worse than a wobbly cupcake stand, right?

It was such fun, and so simple too! I'm thinking that while all three pieces don't need to be clear glass, right?
